Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) and 2Excel Aviation have formed a team to offer customers joint proposals for operating Airlander aircraft in a variety of roles.

This partnership is built on a joint commitment to innovation in aviation. HAV’s Airlander 10 is at the cutting edge of decarbonising aviation and will fly with up to 90% fewer emissions from 2025.

2Excel brings a long history of designing and delivering complex aviation services to commercial and defence customers. 2Excel will work with HAV to develop efficient operations for Airlander’s early adopters in mobility, travel, logistics, and surveillance and communications roles.

Together, HAV and 2Excel will tailor operational plans to specific customer requirements, allowing aircraft to be supported by 2Excel’s assured operational and support capabilities. This will ensure smooth adoption of this new aircraft type into revenue service. Airlander 10’s adoption by its first customers will mark an important step on the journey to delivering zero-emissions Airlanders by 2030.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer purchasers of Airlander 10 aircraft the opportunity to have their operations planned and delivered by the experienced team at 2Excel,” comments HAV CEO Tom Grundy. “Their impeccable track record and experience with unique operations is a great advantage for our customers.”

“We have observed the development of Hybrid Air Vehicles and the Airlander with great interest,” added 2Excel Aviation’s commercial director Scott Loughran. “The aircraft offers the potential for an exciting low carbon alternative to many aspects of aviation and we’re pleased to be able to contribute to the next stage of Airlander 10’s journey.”
