From a humble garage operation in Torrance, California, Peli has grown into a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance protective cases, temperature-controlled packaging solutions, advanced portable lighting systems and rugged gear for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts.
Since manufacturing its first product in 1976, the Peli line has grown exponentially to include a range of high-quality lighting systems and cases, such as the highly innovative and lighter Peli Air cases, which includes the newly launched Peli Air Travel case line.
The company’s technical packaging department offers a wide range of customisable, reusable, protective packaging solutions, including high-end CAD design, metal deck work, g-force-rated shock mount systems, advanced foam cushioning and fabricated frame systems. Its BioThermal division has achieved exceptional growth in recent years, offering cold-chain shipping solutions for the life sciences industry.
This anniversary follows the intense challenges of 2020. “The COVID-19 pandemic has given the company the opportunity to respond to a world health crisis in the best way we know how, by creating quality, durable products,” stated Phil Gyori, CEO of Peli. “We have custom-designed protective cases for patient ventilators and warming blankets, while our BioThermal segment has safely carried antibody treatments for trials and expanded our deep-frozen product range to meet temperature requirements for shipping COVID-19 vaccines."
To honour the anniversary, Peli will recognise the dedication of its over 1,500 global employees with celebrations and activities to commemorate the milestone year.
Todd Pickering, managing director at PottertonPacs explained: "PottertonPacs are proud to be a well-established supplier of Peli cases for over 20 years, distributing to customers throughout the United Kingdom. During our years of involvement with Peli the range of high-quality products has expanded and evolved to ensure the wide-ranging need for packaging solutions continues to be exceeded. With innovative new designs and by utilising new technology, Peli have remained our most recognised and requested brand of high-performance protective cases.
"Most recently we have seen a particular increase in demand for protective cases to transport equipment for use within the medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, this is due to the fast-paced changes which have been necessary in the fight against Covid-19."
