STAG Group appoints head of Aircraft Interiors Division

The STAG Group has promoted Ian Andrew to head its new Aircraft Interiors Division.

With a 25 year aerospace industry track record across structural fasteners, passenger/crew restraint systems, aviation leather and fabrics, Andrew moves from the senior sales representative for the STAG Group, a post he has held since 2012. Andrew's main focus in his new role as director is to manage the organisation's existing brands, namely Aircraft Components and Equipment Supplies (ACES), Flitetec and RACE Completions within the newly formed Aircraft Interiors Division. Commenting on his ambitions and objectives in the new post, Andrew said: “One of our main objectives is to provide weight reduction solutions, particular within the economy class market: we confidently predict increased adoption of our precision vacuum formed assemblies to offer weight-saving and enhanced aesthetic solutions. Polycarbonate has been under-utilised in this industry and its vacuum forming and weight saving potential is a major opportunity in the market.” Announced at the Aircraft Interiors Exhibition 2014, the newly formed Aircraft Interiors Division within the STAG Group specialises in products and support services for aircraft cabin interiors. Expertise is offered in the design, manufacture and maintenance of non-structural parts: specifically components and assemblies for manufacturers of crew/passenger seats, business class work stations, galleys, toilets and panels. Latches, hinges, seatbelts, leather and composite inserts are also supplied from some of the leading aerospace manufacturers. www.stag-aerospace.com
