STG Aerospace shortlisted for industry awards

Welsh manufacturer, STG Aerospace, has been shortlisted for two industry-leading Crystal Cabin Awards.

The Cwmbran-headquartered emergency exit and cabin lighting systems provider, is making global strides with its shortlisted products saf-Tglo SSUL-X11 and The STG Curve flexible light.

After launching at AIX 2022, saf-Tglo SSUL-X11 is thought to be the narrowest and lightest photoluminescent FPM available, at just 11mm wide. This small footprint opens up the look and feel of a cabin interior.

Awaiting its launch at AIX 2023, The STG Curve is the first product from STG’s Universal Lighting LED Family. It provides section addressable output, within a small footprint and the market’s tightest bend radius. All combine to make The Curve an ideal choice for OEMs and integrators. Whether a Business Class seat, an Economy Class lavatory, a large galley or a Business Aviation cabin, The Curve can be used throughout the aircraft to provide unique passenger experiences and has already been selected for a prestigious wide-body application.

The prestigious awards highlight international recognition for excellence in aircraft interior innovation. The winners will be announced in June.

As a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry since 1995, STG has gained the trust of OEMs and airlines across the world. STG’s signature products, which prioritise safety with a focus on design, are revamping airline interiors with the highest performing technology and custom products, earning international recognition through awards such as these.

Pierre Michard, sales and programmes director at STG, said: “It’s fantastic to be shortlisted for the Crystal Cabin Awards. They are the pinnacle of excellence and the Oscars of the aerospace interiors world. We are proud to be providing our customers with expertly crafted lighting design solutions. We never stop innovating, and we are excited to continue expanding our offering with customer experience at the forefront of everything we do.”
